Projekt finansowany był ze środków programu ramowego Unii Europejskiej w zakresie badań naukowych i innowacji „Horyzont 2020” na podstawie umowy o udzielenie dotacji nr 740580. W ramach projektu „Visible Attributes through Genomics: Broadened Forensic Use of DNA for Constructing Composite Sketches from Traces” opracowano i zwalidowano prototyp narzędzi o nazwie VISAGE, które będą służyły do uzyskania jak najszerszych informacji na temat wyglądu, wieku i pochodzenia geograficznego nieznanej osoby na podstawie śladów DNA zabezpieczonych na miejscu zdarzenia, co pozwoli na opracowanie portretu pamięciowego tej osoby.

On the 31^st October 2021 the implementation of the project titled “Visible Attributes through Genomics: Broadened Forensic Use of DNA for Constructing Composite Sketches from Traces – VISAGE” was completed. The project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 740580. The aim of the project „Visible Attributes through Genomics: Broadened Forensic Use of DNA for Constructing Composite Sketches from Traces” was to develop and validate a set of prototype tools (VISAGE Toolkit) for producing as detailed as possible appearance, age, and bio-geographic ancestry prediction information of an unknown trace donor, allowing the construction of composite sketches from biological traces recovered at crime scenes.
