XI International Symposium of Forensic Experts of Border Services took place on 4—5 December 2018 and was organized by Border Guard Training Center in Kętrzyn.

Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police was represented by Anna Przewor, Head of Document Examination and Audiovisual Techniques Department, and Ewa Siedlecka from Document Examination and Audiovisual Techniques Department, who delivered a lecture entitled: “Individual identification of stamps”. The meeting was attended by experts from Border Guards, Police, The Internal Security Agency, Polish Security Printing Works Ltd., Interpol, Frontex Agency and representatives of Finnish, Latvian and German border services and training centers. The discussed issues were related to the forgery of documents authorizing to cross state borders, identity documents and visas in the context of illegal migration. The problems connected to the latest techniques used for counterfeiting documents, methods of their examination and cutting-edge solutions ensuring a high level of security of public documents were also raised. This meeting was an opportunity to establish international relations between experts in the field of examination of questioned documents. As a token of recognition and appreciation, the Commander of Border Guard Training Center honored Anna Przewor, Head of Document Examination and Audiovisual Techniques Department of CFLP, with the commemorative medal, issued on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Independence of Poland.
