Scientific Seminar “Forensic Science in Practical Examples”
On March 13, 2018 the 14th Scientific Seminar titled „Forensic Science in Practical Examples” was organized by Kriminalisticky a expertizny ustav Policajneho zboru (KEU PZ) in Presov (Slovakia).
The Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police was represented by the Deputy Director Krzysztof Borkowski Ph.D., specialist of the Biology Department Kamil Januszkiewicz Ph.D. and specialist of the Toolmark and Ballistic Department Krzysztof Biskup. The meeting was held in the auditorium of the Presov University, which was the co-organizer of the event. The attendees could hear the lectures given by the representatives of forensic science institutes and laboratories from Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Kamil Januszkiewicz delivered a presentation related to the application of 3D scanning technology during crime scene investigation, based on the experience gained through the implementation of such research and innovation projects as “Reconstruction of course of incident basing upon bloodstain pattern” and “Tool supporting pre-trial proceedings and investigation activities through reconstruction of crime scene and course of incidents".
