FIRST JOINT MEETING OF ENFHEX AND EFPWG (ENFSI) WORKING GROUP

The first joint meeting of ENFSI (European Network of Forensic Science Institutes) working groups: European Network of Forensic Handwriting Experts and European Fingerprint Working Group took place on 9—12 September 2019 in Porto (Portugal).

The meeting was attended by experts representing research and examination centers and units from Europe, Asia, Australia, the United States of America and Canada. Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police was represented by lt.col. Edyta Kot – head of Fingerprint Examination Department, Katarzyna Drzewiecka and Ewa Rogoża – experts from Fingerprint Examination Department and Łukasz Kocielnik from Document Examination and Audiovisual Techniques Department. During joint  conference the results of the STEFA G03 test, organized by ENFSI, in which experts from the CFLP participated, were discussed and possibilities for a better dissemination of scientific research results were presented. The analysis of biometric signatures was the main subject of the ENFHEX expert group, while validation of visualization methods was focused upon by the EFPWG. Handwriting experts also attended workshops on masked and imitated signature analysis.
