On 9th April 2019 the “Eurodac Operational Training – Entry Level”, organized by eu-LISA Agency, took place in Strasburg (France).

The purpose of the training was to familiarize the participants with the main functionalities of Eurodac system, its technical and IT facilities, operations performed by the system and the perspective of its development. The attendees represented such EU countries as Germany, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Norway, Malta, Austria, Switzerland and Croatia. Poland was represented by Wojciech Jasiński from the Fingerprint Examination Department of CFLP. Eurodac system is a pan-European fingerprint database of individuals applying for asylum (international protection) and foreigners detained in connection with illegal crossing of the EU external borders. Currently the system is used by 28 Member States and 4 non-EU countries.
