Conference on Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) in Lyon

On 29th – 31st May 2018 the International Conference on DVI was held in General Secretariat of Interpol in Lyon, France.

The agenda of Conference was dedicated to law enforcement officials, international organizations and other entities taking care of mass casualties. There were over 250 representatives of police and other security services from whole world, i.a. from Australia, United States, France, Hungary, Belgium, Netherlands, Brazil, Switzerland, Norway, Malta, Israel. Exchange of experiences between countries and announcement of further, wider cooperation in the field of DVI were extremely valuable. After the plenary session participants were divided into thematic groups (of police, medical examiners, odontologists, specialists in forensic genetics and fingerprint examination) and took part in workshops. The Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police was represented by CFLP Deputy Director col. Adam Frankowski and Agnieszka Łukomska, senior specialist of the Scientific Development Department.
