Commemoration of Police officers killed in 1940 in Katyn massacre

On 11 April 2018, on the occasion of 78th anniversary of Katyn massacre, a ceremony to commemorate Polish Police officers killed in 1940 by Soviet NKVD was held in National Police HQ at the „In Memory of Deceased Police officers – the Republic of Poland” obelisk.

Jarosław Zieliński, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, General Jarosław Szymczyk Police Commander-in-Chief, general Helena Michalak Deputy Police Commander-in-Chief, Police management,  Field Bishop of Armed Forces Józef Guzdek as well as representatives of other services of the Ministry of Interior and Administration and relatives of deceased Police officers took part in the Commemoration ceremony. Jarosław Zieliński paid homage to the deceased Police officers and emphasized the value of the fact that previous generations were giving their lives for the sake of patriotism.

The Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police was represented by the Deputy Director, col. Adam Frankowski.
