II Polish Conference „Forensic Biology – Genetic Portrait of the Criminal”

On 23 – 25th of November 2016 a conference titled „Forensic Biology – Genetic Portrait of the Criminal” held by Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police took place in Jachranka, Poland.

The conference presented methods of analysis in forensic genetics. It attracted such figures as  leading representatives of national scientific institutes, universities and forensic laboratories as well as foreign guests, including: prof. Timothy M. Palmbach (University in New Haven – USA), dr Ir. C.P. Kees van der Beek (Netherlands Forensic Institute) and dr Christopher Phillips (Santagio de Compostela University in Spain) who presented modern technologies used by experts in forensic genetics, the functioning of forensic databases of DNA profiles and interesting forensic cases encountered in the course of laboratory practice.
