CEPOL – European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training

Since 2012, Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police has been organizing the training courses on dismantling illicit drug laboratories in cooperation with Cepol and Europol  (Europol/CEPOL – „Illicit laboratory dismantling – advanced”). The course is devoted to forensic experts in chemistry as well as law enforcement officers who combat drug-related crime from the EU countries. During the course, the participants are trained in the area of detection and dismantling of illicit laboratories, including the collection of evidence for further examination. They also become familiarized with the equipment used in clandestine laboratories, synthesis methods and the safety rules to follow while dismantling the laboratories which take up the production of synthetic drugs and precursors. The training, conducted in form of lectures and practical exercises, takes place in the International Training Centre for Combating Clandestine Laboratories in Police Training School in Legionowo. Additionally, CFLP experts have the opportunity to improve their competences in other courses organised by Cepol, participate in European Police Exchange programme and webinars, which serve as a effective platform for exchanging the experience with the EU colleagues.
